But before you can run off to the lake or go for a hike, the first order of the day is to park and level your RV so that your refrigerator will operate properly and you don’t find yourself in bed at night with your feet higher than your head. Never assume your site will be flat or level. That would make parking an RV too easy. Due to the nature of camping, chances are higher that your site will be rutted, gouged and somewhat uneven.
You can still get your RV into your spot, and leveled so it operates properly, with a few easy steps. How to Park an RV With many campsites designed to accommodate smaller vehicles, easing your foot long fifth-wheeler or even longer motorhome into some spots can be a challenge.

Since those little canisters are so… little, that seems just about as likely to happen as not. Removing disposable propane cylinders from the list of gear we need to keep on board saves space, and of course avoids running out of them, too the best way to exacerbate objection 1 above: And… they run out, too.

Todd Posted 28 March – Most all portable propane devices are designed for the little throw away tanks or for 20 lb tanks, both of which are high pressure supplies. Because of this all of these appliances have regulators built in. If you hook them to a low pressure supply they won’t work because no gas will flow threw the built in regulator. This will allow me to hook up my grill, stove, lantern, etc. This connection, of course, needs to be made between the camper LP tank and the regulator.
This means it will only work off of one tank. That’s a limitation I’m willing to live with in order to be able to use regular cheaper and more readily available gas appliances. I know that doesn’t answer your question but it’s something to consider. If you already have a bunch of low pressure LP devices than that’s probably the way to go for your situation.

Yet folks that are new to RVing ask me all the time what I think they will need for their rig. Well, my wife, my RVing friends and I have given this subject a lot of thought for several months now and we came up with a list of things that you really need to have as well as another list of things that would just be really nice to have. One thing that we all agree on is that we have probably forgotten something or left out an important item of some kind. Oh well — we tried.
Still, this is a good starting point and guideline for most RVers.
Quick-connection end makes the hose easy to attach and remove in case the appliance has to be moved.
This comes with two hoses coming out of one regulator and as one hose that splits into two hoses. Same result but two different styles. Use one regulator and one tank to operate both appliances. Two foot long rubber gas hose. Two stage regulators are used in gas barbecues with higher BTU flow than most — as much as double the gas flow. These are usually found on larger sized infrared grills and should be used on any low pressure LP appliance pulling more than 65, BTU from a residential portable LP tank.
Use to extend regulator hose, often used with built in BBQ grill accessories like LP tank pull-out drawer. This male threaded regulator is callede a POL attachment and was the standard for LP consumer fittings before the safety features needed a new way to denote added safety mechanisms in the LP cylinder.
