You too could be featured on the site, just submit your photos to gulfsterreport gmail. The fish will be pushing into the shallow, dark bottom areas in search for warmer water. Even a couple of degrees can bring a lot of relief to the fish.
Patrick’s Day to all of you!
This year was quite different. The RV park office no longer operates. You must park your RV in back of the casino and register at the hotel desk. Trash pickup was a problem everyday we were there for 8 days. Everyday we had to call the hotel to get someone to pick it up. The park was far from full, but each site leaves their trash out, so all those trash bags baking in the sun for hours wasn’t good. The fields surrounding the area were being plowed and the dust was so thick, it left all the vehicles in the area with a thick layer of the stuff, and we couldn’t sit outside without being covered with dust because of the wind.
This went on for the majority of our 8 day stay. The sewer dump on our site clogged. When we called to report it, we were told we had to move to another site to dump.
Gulf State Park
Usually the fish swim around through the lights and are very active with the warmer water.
