Celebrities since their diaper days on Full House, the Olsens have over a dozen direct-to-video titles in their money-making repertoire but have yet to foist a feature-length film on to the multiplex masses. Tailored specifically for packs of prepubescent girls, New York Minute will be eye candy for some and brain candy for all. It casts the camera-friendly siblings in a frothy Ferris Bueller-inspired day in the life of twin sisters spinning in opposite circles. Prim and proper Jane Ryan Ashley preps to give a speech at Columbia University that could earn her an Oxford scholarship. Slacker sister Roxy Ryan Mary-Kate just wants to skip school and stay one step ahead of a power-hungry truant officer Eugene Levy with cop envy. Jack Osbourne takes a break from rehab stints to play Mary-Kate’s bandmate. Drew Pinsky takes charge as the twins’ dad. And in what amounts to a minute commercial for their band, Canadian punksters Simple Plan appear everywhere in the film – topping out with a one-song concert at a staged video shoot. I like Simple Plan, but this is selling out big time.

Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, affectionately known as the Olsen twins, play Jane and Roxy Ryan, respectively, two very different sisters who have grown apart. Jane is studious and conservative to the point of being annoying, while Roxy is a wild teenager who cares only for loud rock and roll, an annoying trait in itself. Jane has to deliver an important speech at Columbia University, which could land her an Oxford scholarship in England.
The hosts and hostesses were very helpful.
Thanks for introducing me to so many local singles in one evening! My friends and I had a blast and met some wonderful men. I think the 5-minute dating concept is genius. It is long enough to tell whether you would like to get to know more about someone, or not. I just got engaged to Jason this week who I met at your event , and wanted to let you know that your event worked for me! This afternoon, we went on a double date with two of the gentlemen we met there!
I met a lot of wonderful people. I made a lot of new friends and seeing someone exclusively. Thanks for a great time. This was my first experience at a singles event, and I had a wonderful time. I just got an email with my match results, and was very happy to see the guys with whom I matched! Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

This picture is basically more of the same, but with a slightly sharper sense of admittedly lowbrow humor that for the first time gives the bright-eyed year-olds an appeal beyond their fan base of admiring little girls and unsavory old men. The girls, of course, play polar-opposite sisters from the New Jersey suburbs — Ashley is uptight, conservative and studious, Mary-Kate is an innocuous punkette rebel and the very unconvincing drummer in a band — who in the course of one crazy day in Manhattan come to a greater appreciation of each other’s individuality.
Ashley’s there, dressed like the president of the Young Republicans club, to give a speech that could win her a scholarship to Oxford. Her wild-child sibling has come hoping to slip a demo CD to the record label suits at a big music video shoot. But nothing goes according to plan after they both get thrown off their commuter train Mary-Kate didn’t have a ticket and the porter somehow can’t tell that stuffy Ashley isn’t the same girl , then stupidly accept a suspiciously free ride from a strange limo driver Andy Richter.
It seems a microchip containing pirated music worth millions to Hong Kong bootleggers has been slipped into Mary-Kate’s purse oh, brother! Soon the girls are on the run from not only Richter who wants to fit in with his crime family so badly that he speaks in a pathetically fake Chinese accent , but also from an overzealous truant officer Eugene Levy , who can find the humor in any lame character obsessed with catching perpetual class-ditcher Mary-Kate.
In the course of their adventure, each meets a cute boy of course! Oh, and don’t forget — Ashley still has to get to her scholarship speech on time. Hackneyed to be sure, “New York Minute” gets enough mileage out of the twins’ infectious vivacity, its boundless energy and its modest cheekiness see “Is it my birthday? Its bigger problems come from the fact that the Olsens still look 14, so it’s a little creepy when they’re kissed by their older love interests, and from the fact that director Dennie Gordon who last year plied the same target audience with the even stupider “What a Girl Wants” seems to prefer stereotypes to characters anyone Chinese, black or gay in this movie is drawn with a shamefully broad brush.
Less offensive but still exasperating to lovers of music and movies are the abominable rendition of David Bowie’s “Suffragette City” performed by Mary-Kate’s band and the unjustified audacity of the Warner Bros.
Reviews Favorite Success Story 1 My dating skills have improved dramatically! Before the Dating Mastery Program, I never thought I would have the ability to see a woman I desired, and then have the ability to approach her and start a conversation. Now I can do it anytime and in any situation. Which I will warn you, leads to a lot of dates: Having this new ability makes me feel more confident.
Her work was great then and this one was wonderful just the same.
Keep up the good work! A great experience that everyone should have. I really liked it and would recommend it to my friends. Thanks to the team of NyEasyDates for making it really an amazing event. Beautiful women of substance! Great way to meet someone. I don’t know why I waited until almost 36 to do this. It was a friendly, safe environment and the venue was perfect. NY EasyDates is the ideal solution. You meet ten people, and if you meet someone interesting, you can ask them on a date that has real prospects.
The dates were a lot of fun, most people were very friendly, which made it a great experience. The hosts did a good job also of keeping the mood light-hearted, enthusiastic and fun.

The Olsen Twins’ Doll Revolution: It’s a much better movie than critics say. Mary-Kate Olsen has a special comic energy, and Ashley Olsen can be hilarious, both as a physical comedian and in the ways she delivers her lines. The supporting cast were almost all terrific:
We say yes to a very few – limiting it to locales that are at once casually hip and romantically inspiring.
Reviewed by Lauren Kane Rating: Poised between child stardom and adult celebrity, ‘tween queens Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen celebrate their coming of age with their first feature. Nerdy Jane is on her way to Columbia University to compete in a public-speaking contest, while delinquent Roxy is heading to the Big Apple for a concert by pop-punk band Simple Plan. Roxy blew off school in hopes of getting her own group discovered at the concert and video shoot, but dedicated truant officer Max Lomax Eugene Levy is hot on her trail.
During a police action at the train station, a microchip containing pirated music is slipped into the unwitting Roxy’s purse, and chaos ensues. Both girls are soon being hotly pursued through midtown Manhattan by Bennie Andy Richter , the goofy black sheep of a crime family with ties to the music pirates. The twins sneak into the Plaza Hotel room of Sen. When Renaldo eats the chip, the girls grab him and flee in hopes of getting their day back on track, only to be sidelined by their own sibling rivalry:

Jan 29, Melanie rated it it was amazing Melinda has done it again!!! I absolutely love the way that she makes us all swoon for her characters in her stories and not be able to put it down until we are done. Even after that, I still long for more from these books. Melinda writes so well and brings us such heart warming stories about everyday life. Veronica is a young lady that loves working with numbers but is not always sure that those around her will share in her love of numbers.
Veronica is looking for some adventure in her life and Melinda has done it again!!! Veronica is looking for some adventure in her life and decides to just go with what happens one night at a wedding reception. This reminds me of the saying that you should just let loose sometimes and go with the flow. Diego is a musician who struggles with the whole popularity lifestyle with women just wanting to be with him because of who he is. When Diego spots Veronica at the wedding reception he knows that there is just something different about her.
Once they introduce themselves to each other, there is no turning back for either of them and the sparks erupt!! Diego is an Alpha Male and loves to show Veronica that she is so much more than what she thinks of herself. Diego has such a sweet personality and only has eyes for Veronica after they meet!!

The movie is continuously amusing, and there are hundreds of funny moments and good lines.
Great way to meet someone. Not only did I meet some great guys, but all around I met some really nice, genuine people. Keep up the good work! A cool crowd, tasty munchies, groovy staff. I would definitely do it again. The hosts were organized and funny! The half time snacks were a nice touch. The venue was great, I would definitely go back on a regular night! The hosts were enthusiatic and helpful, making the evening that much more enjoyable. The location was also ideal for the number of people.
